Companies invest in BRAVE on Stage to develop visible, confident leaders. Many participants use their L&D budget - [download the business case template].

One talk can open doors your CV never will

The women who get tapped for promotions, flown out to international conferences, and DM'd about dream roles aren't necessarily the most experienced people in the room. They're the most visible.

Speaking on stages whether virtual or in-person is the single fastest way to build the kind of visibility that compounds. One 10-minute talk can lead to:

Career opportunities including promotions, board seats, advisory roles, and job offers that come looking for you

Impact at scale from sharing your experience on stage, reaching the people in tech who need to hear exactly what you've learned

Becoming the face of your company and being the person leadership puts forward for press, panels, and industry moments

60% of our previous participants were booked to speak at external events before the programme even finished.

You don't need another certification. You need a stage.

The opportunities that accelerate careers don't go to the most qualified person. They go to the person people already trust and speaking builds that trust faster than anything else.

You become a known leader, not just a good employee. Companies invest in people who raise their profile and yours rises every time you speak.

Your network expands without the awkward networking. Senior leaders, founders, and decision-makers come to you after your talk. No cold DMs, no forced introductions.

Opportunities start finding you. A single talk gets shared, clipped, quoted, and remembered. It becomes the thing that makes someone say "you need to meet her."

The women being flown out, brand-partnered, and headhunted started with one well-crafted talk and a strategy to get it in front of the right people. That's exactly what BRAVE on Stage gives you.

Don't take our word for it. Take theirs.

"I went from being comfortable in a group setting to being fully prepared to command the room solo. The most valuable part for me was learning how to curate my own content and slides into a presentation that builds authentic trust. I didn't just want to talk; I wanted to connect. Now, I have a fully polished talk ready to deliver in person."

- Shav, Software Developer

"I had a bunch of ideas floating around and struggled to get them to coalesce into a coherent plan. After working with Amber to find my core message, everything moved quite quickly. When my talk outline came together using the framework, the amazing thing was that it naturally brought out my individuality rather than feeling formulaic."

- Emily, Software Developer

Programme overview

In 6 weeks, you'll go from "I should really get into speaking" to actually being on stage.

BRAVE on Stage is a hands-on programme where you build your keynote in real time, develop your outreach strategy, and deliver your talk to a live audience with a coach and cohort behind you the entire way.

  • Before you build anything, you need to get honest about what you actually want. Why speaking? Why now? What's been quietly stopping you? You'll map out a vision of the version of you who's already on stages, what confidence she's embodying, what opportunities she's attracting, and what impact she's having.

  • You'll discover your Speaker Archetype: The Rebel, The Heart, The Visionary, or The Strategist. Think Beyoncé, a powerhouse on stage, yet grounded in interviews. Your style shifts depending on the room, but knowing your default is what makes you magnetic instead of forgettable. You'll experiment with different delivery energies and name the blend that's uniquely yours. Cohort 1 named theirs everything from "The Grounded Firestarter" to "The Analytical Empath."

  • Through the Message Matrix framework, you'll define what you actually want to say, who needs to hear it, and how your talk connects to your bigger career goals. This is where "I could talk about anything" becomes "this is my talk and here's why it matters".

  • You'll structure your 10-minute keynote using a five-part talk framework designed to hold an audience's attention and land your message with clarity. This is a live workshop where you get real-time feedback from Amber and the group, and leave with a working draft you believe in.

  • This is where good talks become great ones. You'll learn how to turn flat summaries into vivid scenes and weave your own stories into your keynote You'll practise delivering and get honest feedback.

  • Your final group session. Full delivery, detailed feedback, last refinements. By now you know your material and this session is about trusting it.

  • At the end of the programme, you’ll deliver your talk to a global audience live online. It’s a chance to put everything you’ve learned into practice, experience delivering your talk, and walk away knowing you can do it again anywhere.

  • A dedicated session and resource pack on CFPs, outreach strategies, and pitching so your keynote lives on beyond the showcase. You'll leave with a plan and tools to land your next speaking opportunities.

Everything you need to build your talk, your confidence, and your visibility strategy

  • 6 live online group sessions (90 mins each, capped at 10 women) with real-time workshopping, coaching, and keynote building

  • Prerecorded video library - lessons for every week so you come to sessions ready to work, not sitting through lectures

  • Guided workbooks (Notion + Google Docs) - Message Matrix, Talk Outline, and Speaker Archetype exercises that build your keynote week by week

  • 2 x 1:1 private dress rehearsals - 30 minutes each, one-on-one with Amber, before the showcase

  • BRAVE on Stage Circle community - resources, recordings, peer support, and direct access to Amber throughout the programme and beyond

  • Live showcase - present your talk to a global audience in London or virtually

  • Outreach strategy session + resource pack - CFPs, abstract templates, and a pitching playbook to land real stages after the programme

Investing in your team's visibility is investing in your company's reputation

When your engineers, product leaders, and technical experts speak on stages, your company benefits directly:

  • Employer brand - every talk your team gives positions your company as a place where brilliant people thrive

  • Talent attraction - candidates want to work where thought leaders are built, not buried

  • Industry influence - your company's perspective enters the conversation at conferences, panels, and in press coverage

  • Retention - people stay where they're supported to grow, not just to deliver

Many BRAVE on Stage participants use their company's L&D budget to cover the programme fee. We've made it easy and there's a ready-to-send business case template included so your team member can make the ask confidently.

Companies like Google, Figma, Canva, and Depop have trusted Amber Shand to deliver keynotes for their teams. Now she's training the next generation of women to do the same.

When I was a Software Engineer, I chose to join Skyscanner because they invested in women in tech. That's the power of visible leadership. It attracts the people you want to hire.

Your Brave on Stage Guide - Amber Shand

I started as a Software Engineer with too many interests and no idea how to make speaking work strategically. Once I figured out how to package my message, everything changed.

People reached out months later with job opportunities. Corporate clients started DMing me. Speaking became the most powerful networking and career tool I'd ever found — my talks built trust and visibility that meant opportunities came looking for me, not the other way around.

100+ keynotes later for Google, Salesforce, Figma, Canva, Depop, and PwC and this is the framework that built my career. And it's the same one I teach inside BRAVE on Stage.

I built She Bytes Back, the UK's leading women in tech community with 3,000+ members, because I know what it feels like to be the best-kept secret in the room. BRAVE on Stage exists so you don't have to be.

The things that stop most people from joining

"I know I should be speaking, but I don't know what I'd talk about."

Here's the thing: it's not that you don't have anything to say. It's that you have too many options, and nobody's helped you figure out which one is the strategic choice. The one that doesn't just sound interesting on stage, but actually positions you as the go-to person in your space. The one that makes a hiring manager remember your name. The one that turns a 10-minute conference slot into a conversation that changes your career.

That's what weeks 3, 4 and 5 are designed to do. You won't show up needing a finished idea and by the end, you'll have a talk you're proud of and a plan to get it on real stages.

"I'm not sure I'm experienced enough."

You don't need 20 years of experience to have something worth saying. You need a perspective, a story, and a framework to deliver it with confidence. Some of the most impactful talks come from people who are in the middle of their journey, not looking back on it. If you've solved a problem, led a team through something hard, or learned a lesson the industry needs to hear, you're ready.

"I can't justify the cost right now."

This is a career investment with compounding returns rather than a “nice-to-have”. One speaking engagement can lead to a job offer, a partnership, a consulting opportunity, or a promotion that pays for this programme ten times over. And if your company has an L&D budget, there's a business case template ready for you to send to your manager today.

"What if I can't make a live session?"

All sessions are recorded and available in the Circle community. You also get two private 1:1 dress rehearsals with Amber, so you'll never fall behind.
